On the shore at Teriberka, rusted ships lie where they were abandoned. The metal plates are bolted at beveled edges, the whole structure slowly going the colour of the earth around it. That joint, that edge, is what the binding on these flatwoven pieces is drawn from. And Rust is exactly what it sounds like.

Taking cues from the elements left behind. The binding is constructed like the overlapping, beveled plates of a ship's hull offering a rugged, protective frame to the patchwork within. A graphic detail born from harsh conditions, translated into everyday resilience.
Knotted by hand. These heavyweight tassels soften the rigorous edges of the rug, adding a raw, tactile finish that anchors the design to the floor.
